Rainmaker Rodeo Chairman 2017

As my first year as Chairman for the Rainmaker Rodeo, I was quite overwhelmed how much really goes into running an event this size. But with all the support we get from the communities in and around St. Albert I have nothing but excitement for this upcoming year.

We have a fantastic return of all the favourites including the Dynamo Dog Shows, Petting Zoo and Wobbly Water Balls. Plus we’ve brought back the very popular Lumberjack Show. Of course there’s always the amazing Midway, a great line up of Merchant Vendors and Food Vendors. We’ve got an amazing line up for our concerts, both our Classic Rock Friday Night and expect a sell-out for our Country Night on Saturday. Let’s not forget about the Rodeo that includes calf roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, bull riding and more.

Like every year, we’ve got an exciting parade to kick off Saturday. Come early, get a good seat and have some breakfast. One thing you will notice is that the Parade will be going in the opposite direction this year but don’t worry, it’s going to be just as exciting as ever.

To all the volunteers who help make this event happen, I would like to thank you and hope you feel rewarded for what you help accomplish.

Sincerely,

Leroy Norris

Rainmaker Rodeo Past Chairman

Welcome! The Kinsmen Club of St. Albert and I are busy preparing for the 53rd Annual Rainmaker Rodeo, Exhibition & Music Fest coming May 26th, 27th, & 28th, 2017.  Stay tuned to our official website for updated information, special news promoting the event and added attractions.

The overall event is anticipated to attract over 20,000 greater Edmonton & area fans for the weekend attractions that include bull riding, bucking broncs and Midway all weekend long, as well as the exciting FAMILY FUN events and Great Music Fest Concerts.

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster and the Crown & Tower Pub (St Albert) 3 Beer Hunter locations (Spruce Grove, west Edmonton and St. Albert). Proceeds from the Rainmaker Rodeo & Exhibition and the Kinsmen’s other fundraising activities go back into the community to support programs and services from organizations such as STARS, Youth Scholarships, Cystic Fibrosis Research, St Alberts Scouts, Riel & Red Willow Park Beautification, St Albert Kinettes Christmas Hamper, Morinville Basketball Association, St Albert Playground Building Projects, David Wynn Memorial fund and many more. Last year, more than 20 community organizations benefited from the St. Albert Kinsmen proceeds and to date we have raised over $5.9 Million dollars. Hope to see you at the “Rainmaker “!

Sincerely,

Patrick Dower
