What We Do

The Kinsmen Club of St. Albert is a registered non-profit society and chartered member of the national service club, KIN Canada.  The Club’s primary fundraising activity is the Rainmaker Rodeo & Exhibition funded by the resources of the Kinsmen Club of St. Albert.  Net revenue generated from the Rainmaker is distributed to provide programs and services from over thirty (30) worthy community, social service, youth and minor sports organizations in and around St. Albert.  Some of the proceeds are directed to improvements and additions to the Kinsmen Korral, RV & Community Park. All buildings and facilities on the grounds are owned by the St. Albert Kinsmen and the land  is leased from the City of St. Albert and managed by the St. Albert Kinsmen on behalf of St. Albert residents.

Vision

The St. Albert Kinsmen will produce the best local festival celebrating St. Albert’s roots and the Rainmaker Rodeo & Exhibition will be a  premier event & tourist destination in St. Albert.  The St. Albert Kinsmen will continue to enhance and develop the Kinsmen Korral, RV & Community Park into a multi-purpose community facility for the benefit of visitors as well as the residents of St. Albert and surrounding area.

Committe

The St. Albert Kinsmen Rainmaker Rodeo & Exhibition Committee is comprised entirely of volunteers of the Kinsmen Club of St. Albert and has 11 core members, 5 sub-committee coordinators as well as numerous other key participants.  The organizing effort is provided by approximately 25 dedicated individuals who serve on 11 different committees. The volunteers give their time freely on a year-round basis to organize events and promote the Rainmaker Rodeo & Exhibition  in St. Albert.  The operating effort is provided by a volunteer base of over 300 and their strong sense of community spirit and their tireless effort continue to play an integral role in the ongoing success of the event.
