Kinsmen Club

The Kinsmen Club of St. Albert is a member of KIN Canada formerly known as the Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Canada. Our club was established in 1964. St. Albert Kinsmen through the years and today are recognized for their dedicated commitment and working closely together to serve the community.

NEW MEMBERS SCHOOL: Each year all new members are invited to a New Members School, usually held at the discretion of the Club or Zone executive. The members may be shown videos about Kin and given their New Member’s Kit (if they have not previously received one). It is worth your time to attend the school, as you will learn a lot about Kin history and the workings of the Association as a whole. It is also a mandatory requirement towards qualifying for the Maple Leaf Award.

DUES: All active members as well as active life members pay membership dues that cover the costs of running and administering our national organization.  Dues are assessed on a per member basis from the club roster that is submitted each year.  Dues are levied by National for items such as administration, insurance, etc.  The District portion covers the administration expenses of the Zone & District. All dues are based on an annual budget and must be passed by the delegates at the respective conferences. Some clubs subsidize their members’ dues by hosting or conducting by-invitation-only fundraising activities held specifically for this purpose.  However, it is important to note that all funds raised directly through the public will be used for service projects or donations only.
